Accessible, live customer service would help mom gain confidence

Dear Live Grand:

I bought my 83-year-old mom both a tablet and a simplified cellphone. I’m proud of her for trying to use them, but her lack of background is causing anxiety over possible mistakes. This is understandable, and I’ve told her to call me at work with her questions, but she hates being dependent. If she had easily accessible customer service, I think that she’d build the confidence she needs. Does GrandPad offer user-friendly customer service? – TC

Dear TC:

Your mom’s a determined woman! Tell her that you appreciate her willingness to try new things, and then surprise her with a GrandPad. These tablets with built-in phones were designed specifically for older adults so she could use hers right out of the box - with confidence.

When it comes to customer service, GrandPad’s got her covered. The screen features a large HELP icon, so your mom would just tap that, and her friendly personal representative would soon be on the line. This person would walk her through her current challenge and answer any other questions that she has. Reassure her that this service is all part of the GrandPad experience. What’s more, this kind of help is available every day of the week, 365 days a year.

There’s no Wi-Fi network or password needed due to the built-in cellular service. To charge her GrandPad, she'd simply lay it on the included cradle. Navigation is natural because of the large, uniquely colored icons that stay in the same place. The text is large, crisp, and well-lit. Front-facing speakers make for great sound.

Video calls are intuitive. The family admin would add the pertinent information of friends and family to her Contacts list so that when someone called, she’d see their image on her screen and tap Answer. If she wanted to call someone, she’d find their image within her Call app and tap Call. Only the people who have their information added by the family admin could contact her, so there’s no spam.

A super popular feature is the Photos app. The family admin would upload your mom’s favorite photos, and even new images and videos. Then, she could view them with one tap.

Within the Music app, she could access more than 30 million songs in a variety of genres, and she’d have the option of building her own Music Collection.

The Games app is packed with options like Solitaire, Bingo, or Hearts, as well as puzzles like crosswords. There are even contests that offer prizes for the most games played, most won, and participation. Then, there’s the popular memory game where she can choose her preferred level of difficulty.

Within the Articles app, she’d find options like Home & Garden, Inspiration, and Today in History, and she could easily build her own favorites list here, as well.

A GrandPad is a natural for your mom, TC. The live customer service would help her gain confidence because she could use her tablet independently. You’ll both feel great about that!
